My name is Sylvie, it's nice to meet you!
Since early childhood in Nashville, Tennessee, Sylvie has been scribbling, doodling, drawing, and most importantly--illustrating.
Sylvie's illustration style distinguishes itself via unique, crisp linework, intricate metaphors, and an uncanny connection between the human and natural worlds. Drawing from lucid dreams, constant observation of life's finer print, and the love from the creatures around them, Sylvie summons images of wolves and dragons, the divine and the unholy, the familiar and the incomprehensible.
Sylvie is a graduating senior at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where they study Illustration and Printmedia primarily, and will receive their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio in May of 2024.
